This Pre-WWII building had great bones, but it needed a lot of TLC.
When we purchased 933 Lancaster Avenue in 2023, it was actually two separate buildings. After a lot of paperwork (shout out to Lower Merion Township and everyone we worked with to get permits, inspections and clearances - they were great, accommodating, and friendly!), we finally got to break out the heavy duty machinery and bust down a lode-bearing wall on the ground floor, opening up the space to house a commercial tenant.
We kept the two upstairs residential units separate, but completely reworked the floor plans to make it make sense for modern living and young professionals or young families. We maintained the gorgeous, and frankly extremely unique, balcony that is privately accessible by each unit, but added really cool floor tiles and cedar shingles.
